The government focuses on the continuation of the fight against drugs and maintains its serious commitment in counternarcotics efforts. In the road ahead, the government is of the view that apart from the reversion of drugs menace should be completely under control, the sustaining drug free situation in Thailand is, as believed, achieved apparently.

It is recommended that every concerning agencies encourage the government officials and people in each local areas to feel confident on the government's sincerity and current engagement continuously in combating the plague of drugs at all levels . The drugs overcoming mission shall be ceaseless in every areas: village level, district level, provincial level. Attending this goal, people in communities should participate in and perform drugs situation surveillance in their areas so that the drugs challenge will be dealt with promptly. In this respect, the policy implementation shall be proceeded on legality and human's right basis.

The policy guideline and its strategic measures initiatives on narcotics drugs are to take precise aim at solving the remaining problem, establishing sustainability and security in society. The anti drug operation shall be laid on enhancing of transparency, equity, economization, and efficiency as well.

In futuristic approach, the operational guideline is focusing on the key areas and target groups approach so as to intercept the networking of drugs problem circle. The supply factors as narcotics substances and drug trafficking will be controlled. The demand factors as the drug abusers / drug addicts will be properly help solve their problem. The Potential Demand or the group of people at risk will be separately identified. The whole structure and network at all levels of illegal drug trafficking will eventually be destroyed. The plague of drugs vigilance will be implemented properly by which the interception operations are available along the boarder line of the country while the narcotics check points are setting up. In addition, the drugs searching conducted at the custom's protective barrier both along the border area and the inner land is considered most vital.

In particular, the youth group, who are considered as the group at risk will be the key target group .Those young generation include ones involving with drugs, gambling, alcohol drinking as well as extravagant living practice.

It is recommended that each agency monitor the situation of the area in its responsibility every 6 months, and this is put into effect on December 1st, 2006.
