The handover of speed boats and equipments to Thai – Lao drugs law enforcement officers

March 2, 2007, Khemarat District, Ubon Ratchathani Province, ONCB held the handover ceremony of speed boats and equipments to Thai – Lao drugs law enforcement officers. Mr. Kitti Limchaikij, NCB Secretary-General, and Mr. Ounseng Vixay, LCDC (Lao National Commission for Drug Control and Supervision) head of the permanent secretariat, have signed a memorandum of acknowledgement on the stated handover. The provided aids were under the phase II of the Development of Thai – Lao Mutual Cooperation on Drugs Control along Mekong River. All supported items, i.e., speed boats, cellular phones, digit cameras, GPS devices, handheld radios, binoculars, megaphones and etc., have been fully financed by the courtesy of Narcotics Affairs Section (NAS), US Embassy to Thailand. Those materials will assist and facilitate Thai - Lao drugs law enforcement officers in waterway joint operation and their routine works. The ceremony has been chaired and witnessed by Supreme Commander General Bunsrang Niampradit, Excellency Ralph L. Boyce - US Ambassador to Thailand, distinguished delegations and honorable guests from Royal Thai authorities and US embassy. Finally, the ceremony concluded with the launching of Thai-Lao joint waterway patrol along Mekong River.
