On July 26, 2004, ONCB
in cooperation with National Command Center for Combating Drugs
(NCCD) and Bangkok Metropolitan Operation Centre for Combating
Drugs have jointly organized “Kingdoms’ Unity for
Victory over Drugs Alliance Extravaganza” at Metropolis
Yard, Bangkok City Hall 1, Dinso Road. The event has started from
dawn. Thousands of students, families, villager scouts, ‘To
be Number One’ club members, private-sector employees, and
government employees have given alms to Buddish Monks, pledged
themselves to be “Kingdoms’ Unity for Victory over
Drugs” and be prepared, watching out for the drugs not to
return to the Thai people. The Extravaganza was presided over
by General Thammarak Isarangura, Deputy Prime Minister, along
with Mr. Samak Suntornvet, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration
Governor. |
